“Why, why?” Verstappen was asked by the box before Verstappen released an expletive. “What’s the matter?”
Leclerc was very clear at the split time. However, it would have been a smart call by Red Bull if he was going to submit to fuel limit rules.
Drivers who do not have sufficient fuel can be disqualified.
Leclerc won the season-leading ninth place, finishing 022 ahead Verstappen’s colleague Sergio Perez and 0.054 ahead of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.
Verstappen begins eighth and does not have the chance to win the title on Sunday.
Leclerc stated after qualifying: “It’s really special, every qualifier at the street circuits was so great.”
Verstappen won the 2022 season with 116 pts. Leclerc will win his second consecutive title, but Verstappen must score 22 more points to beat Leclerc (his more realistic opponent).
Red Bull was accused of breaking the 2021 budget. This led to bickering and anger from Christian Horner, team boss.

Hamilton, the seven-time F1 champion, was also summoned to appear before hosts in an attempt to steal jewelry shortly after the conclusion of third practice at Marina Bay.
Hamilton’s nose stud was the cause of the recall. This he had removed before the FIA began its jewelry ban.
